THE SILVER LAKE

Musical 'Der Silbersee' with lyrics by Georg Kaiser, music by Kurt Weill and transalated by Jeremy Sams.

Royal Albert Hall London
Sunday 21 July 1996

Kurt Weill's gritty, jazz-influenced musical play is the last thing he wrote before leaving Germany in 1933 and provides a vivid reflection of that turbulent era. Presented as Prom 3 in the BBCs 1996 Proms Season.
